Wednesday
-day 1769
While I was in the hospital, work on the finishing of our basement continued.
As you can see, except for paint on the walls and carpet it's pretty much complete.
Deb's brother Tom did a great job.

Thursday
-day 1539
Kurt and Brendan teamed up to build us a tornado safe room and bathroom
in the basement. It meets all NWS requirements, and I think the walls and celing
could stop a 30/30 round.

03/04/2005
Friday
-day 315-
Our first night in the new house.
Not under the best of circumstances, we could not get the Select Comfort to be comfortable it wouldn't hold air, the toilet ran all night, the phones didn't work, and the water had been turned down to tepid at best among other small annoyances. But in the end we did get to try out the new jucczzi, the air chamber did hold air for most of the night, we both have cell phones, and afterall it was our first night in our new house.
Lots of activity today, stucco got patched (but not painted), some of the interier things got fixed (but not all). The pillers in the front did get installed but again not painted. So lots to do yet, I'm sure nothing will happen over the weekend so lets hope next week this actually get done.
We also closed on the Fisk house today. And it was Brendans birthday... all and all a good day.
02/28/2005
Monday
-day 311-
We closed on the house today but because of several areas that are not complete we can't move in. The hardwood floors need one more coat and an overnight, the living room and master bed room still need to be painted. Paint of various kinds and amounts are needed in quite a few places so that delays us too.
02/26,27/2005
Sat & Sun
-day 309 & 310-
OK, lets see what happenend the last couple of days... carpet went in, the windows got cleaned, the kitchen was finished and cleaned, the basement floor was swept and cleaned, doors were mounted on correct hardware and much, much more. Maybe most important the decorative stones were added, after much delay, to the outside of the house.

of Spring

The property is lot 83, 6024 Ames, KC, MO (N39° 12.174, W94° 36.174) in the Oakwood Forest development by Acuff and Rhodes.

Here are some pictures of the property, and the partially completed model of the house we are thinking of having built. Here are later pictures of the same model. This is very early on in our plans. This house is the first of its kind, and is being built by Straight Builders , ours would be only the third so we really don't know what the inside would look like yet.
